Traditionally billboards have been utilized almost exclusively for advertising.  Almost every major brand across the country has rented billboards to generate business and to build brand awareness.  In recent years billboards have been used for different purposes in addition to advertising.  Non-profits, hospitals and philanthropic entities have found billboards to be effective ways to strengthen their message and gather further support for worthy causes.  Some noteworthy examples include fundraising for Children’s Hospitals, Anti-Drug & Tobacco Campaigns, Amber Alerts on digital boards and calls to action for the United Way, the American Cancer Society, the Red Cross and other established non-profits.  These messages have helped generate millions in donations and countless hours of volunteer assistance.  As we look around at our collection of billboards in the Phoenix metropolitan area be sure to take note of the positive messages too!
